Whirlwind has invested significant time and resources identifying the primary design flaws that have plagued vapor recovery units for the past forty years. As a result we have designed and have been providing for almost a decade, a vapor recovery system that we believe is far superior to the industry "status quo". Simply stated our systems work reliably day after day!
The use of rotary screw compressors allows for higher discharge pressures, less oil consumption, fewer moving parts, and greater temperature control resulting in reduced hydrocarbon fallout. Pre-filtering inlet gas helps extend the life of the rotary screw and lubricants. Stainless steel pumps, controls and ex-heavy materials allows for operations in higher H2S environments.
Custom "large screen" PLC controls with user friendly screens and instructions with pertinent information on a single screen helps keep operators informed. Aftercooling discharge gas allows use of the vru with temperature sensitive poly and fiberglass piping systems. PLC controlled electronic recycle valves allow for precise control of suction pressure and recycle phases.
"Zero Emission" controls (no pneumatic controls, valves or actuators) and standard ecology containment skids are just the environmentally responsible thing to do!
